pakaji’jewe’l
Wild roses, or Species Roses, are naturally occurring shrubs with thorny stems and fragrant flowers. They can grow up to 1.5 meters tall. These wildflowers produce edible fruits called rose hips. Their compound leaves have dark green, oval-shaped leaflets. Mi’kmaq people have used various parts of the plant to treat sore throats, nosebleeds, eye problems, and more.
